PAC1 (pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide type I receptor) is a G-protein-
coupled receptor that binds the strongly conserved neuropeptide PACAP (pituitary
adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide) with a thousandfold higher affinity than the related
